The Ultimate Guide to Seaport

The Ultimate Guide to Seaport

Just steps from 8 Spruce, the Seaport is one of the most charming and vibrant neighborhoods in the city. From cobblestone streets and waterfront views to rooftop concerts, unique shops, and outdoor bars, there’s always something happening. We’ve put together a list of our favorite spots to explore—whether you’re in the mood for a quiet coffee, a sweet treat, or a full day out. There’s something here for everyone.

Shopping on Fulton Street

McNally Jackson

4 Fulton Street

Start your day at McNally Jackson, one of the coziest bookstores in the city. It’s housed in a historic brick building with two floors full of curated selection of books and stationery.  Even better? There’s a café inside on the first floor. Grab your new book and a warm beverage and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

Maum

18 Fulton Street

Just a few steps away is Maum, a beautifully curated Asian home goods store that just opened recently. Think of home goods, lifestyle items, and design-forward gifts. It’s minimalistic, calming, and honestly... dangerous if you’re trying not to shop. Worth popping in, even if just for inspiration! The store also hosts regular pop-up events, spotlighting AAPI founders, specialty food tastings, and curated shopping experiences.

Mure + Grand

16 Fulton Street

Next stop by Mure + Grand, one of those places you wander into “just to look,” and end up leaving with a new favorite piece. This cute pink shop carries playful accessories, candles, and clothing that feels fun and effortless!

Grab a bite at Tin Building

96 South Street

If you work up an appetite, stop by the Tin Building by Jean-Georges. This place is a food lover’s dream. It’s like an upscale gourmet market with restaurants tucked into every corner—seafood counters, pizza, bakeries, cocktail bars, and even a fancy speakeasy-style restaurant. Whether you're in the mood for sushi,  tacos, or just a sweet treat, there’s something here for you.

Catch a movie—outdoors or in

Seaport Cinema is back for the summer, and it’s one of our favorite warm-weather things to do in the neighborhood. Screenings happen Tuesday nights on the Heineken Riverdeck at Pier 17—it’s free, and the lineup is always a fun mix of classics and crowd-pleasers. Just be sure to RSVP and get there early—seats fill up fast!

Prefer AC and reclining seats? Head over to iPic Theater instead. It's a luxury movie experience with super comfy loungers, full food and drink service that comes right to your seat, and cocktails that honestly make it feel like dinner and a show. Perfect for a date night or just treating yourself!

Play at the Lawn Club

1 Fulton Street

Not into movies? Head over to the Lawn Club instead. Think cornhole, shuffleboard, and lawn games—all with drinks and great company. It’s casual, fun, and a great spot to meet friends or unwind after work.

Grab a sweet treat at Mister Dips

89 South St

If you’re craving something fun and over-the-top, Mister Dips at Pier 17 is the spot. Come for a sweet treat like their signature soft serve or milkshake, or for the waffle fries or even a classic griddle burger.
