Located on the southern tip of the island, the Financial District, or FiDi, is home to many offices and headquarters of many of the city's major financial institutions, including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the New York Stock Exchange. In addition to being a financial hub, FiDi is also one of the most historical neighborhoods of Manhattan. Plus, you can’t walk too far without hitting a transportation station. 8 Spruce is conveniently located a 3-minute walk from multiple bus stations as well as a 6-minute walk from the Brooklyn Bride-City Hall subway station and a 3-minute walk from the Chambers Street subway station. FiDi is also filled with amazing restaurants, bars, and cafes that are guaranteed to impress.

8 Spruce is built to cater to a wide range of residents, whether that be working professionals, families with children, or students. The fitness amenities at 8 Spruce include our 50-foot heated indoor swimming pool, a 3,300 square-foot state-of-the-art Fitness Center with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge and a Spa Treatment Suite, and a separate fitness space for personal training and boxing, Pilates, yoga, and cycling. Our other amenities include our library, a furnished sun deck with comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas, a grilling terrace, golf simulation stations, pool tables, and more. In addition, with our 24/7 doorman service, you always feel safe and taken care of.

With 76 floors, and a location right in the heart of the Financial District, 8 Spruce apartments have incredibly city views, including shots of The Freedom Tower, Empire State Building, both rivers, and both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Our floor-to-ceiling windows provide optimal viewing space so you can take in the panoramic sights. We provide the ability to see the views of each apartment on our website—so you can select your own scenery prior to signing.
DESIGN & HISTORY
Most famous for his unique architecture, Frank Gehry designed 8 Spruce, both externally and internally. In 2006, construction began on what was then known as the Beekman Tower and New York by Gehry, and was completed in 2010, with an opening in February of 2011. With 76 floors standing 870 feet high, 8 Spruce became the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere. Though it was surpassed in height by the Central Park Tower in 2020, it remains among the tallest residential buildings in the world and renowned for its unique shape that makes it an icon in the NYC Skyline.
